Here is a fireplace door set and fire grate I designed and built for the Sea Breeze Lodge on Hornby Island, BC.
Doors are solid steel
Handles are stainless
Screens are stainless
Hinges are brass plain bearing
The handles each start as 2 pieces. I turned the shafts on the lathe, and cut the shaped handle from 3/4″ plate. Then many hours of sanding and polishing, then the 2 pieces are welded together, then final polish
